Aaron
This past week had been rough for Alcuin just in terms of his jumble of emotions and all the big decisions he felt like he was making. He'd reconciled with Hannibal and things had done so well... even the way Hannibal had handled the situation with Nyx had been so respectful and suggested a real shift in their relationship. Maybe things were back to good with them? Though at the same time, Alcuin was interviewing for a job at WSS and hadn't said a word to Hannibal about it. And he also kept thinking about Aaron.
He couldn't do this for much longer, caught in this utter indecisiveness. He also continued to feel so guilty thinking about Aaron, and how he must be stringing him along. Aaron deserved to be free of him. Maybe he and Kersen could ride off into the sunset together. Well. After sunset.
So when he asked Aaron if he could come over, he did so with the intention of breaking things off with him. Setting him free. He knocked on the door.

Aaron snorted, unable to be shocked right now. He looked at Kersen. "Well, I did mean to at some point," he admitted.
This was rather wonderful, really, with both of them naked by his side. He felt quite spoilt and lucky. It wouldn't last, but it was nice for now.

Alcuin he allowed all other thoughts to be buried deep during this, and now that it was over there was guilt bubbling to the surface - Hannibal would be so upset about this. Hell, he'd suggested a threesome with Kersen before and Alcuin had said no. He decided not to mention this.
He could also feel how content Aaron was with this. That was nice. He'd wanted to create a good experience for him.

Aaron fell asleep then, content, with Kersen in one arm and Alcuin in the other.
He woke up in the morning to find Kersen had left. Of course. The vampire had to travel at night. He still didn't like it, but wouldn't complain.
He was glad Alcuin was still there. "Morning," he said to the lovely sleeping man.

"Good morning," he mumbled. "Did Kersen leave?"

"I think so," Aaron replied and leaned into Alcuin. "Different rhythm, of course." He didn't mind, except that he had loved holding him.
"Thank you," he said then. "That was an unforgettable night."

"None," Aaron assured him. He continued because Alcuin could probablyread him anyway. "Sad, perhaps, that it can't last, but... an experience I wouldn't have wanted to miss."

"He's changed my perception on vampires, certainly," Aaron agreed. It was an understatement. Aaron cared for him a lot. More, actually, each time they met.

Aaron smiled. "I know," he said gently. "We talked..." He regarded Alcuin. "Don't tell me to walk into the sunset with him. I don't think I can, when you're here."

"But you don't want to..." Aaron guessed. Hoped, really.

"I don't want last night to have been a goodbye gift," Aaron replied. He understood. He understood everything. But he didn't have to like it.

“I don’t either, I just… there’s no way this ends well if it continues.”
no subject
Aaron understood. "I won't blame you if you don't come around anymore." He still didn't trust Hannibal, but... there was nothing he could do.
"But... my door will always be open to you."

Aaron nodded. "On Hannibal?" Somehow it only now struck him he'd bedded two of the man's lovers.

Aaron smiled a bit. "I'm biased, I know."
"It will be good, I think. He's very good at reading people as well."

"Me too," Aaron replied. "I owe you both a great deal."

Aaron held Alcuin's hand gently and leaned into the touch. He didn't sadly anything for fear of saying something that would make things harder for Alcuin.
