Right after the encounter, Alcuin had of course told Hannibal all about James Bond. But one detail he'd left out was that Bond had asked him if he'd ever considered a job at WSS. It had surprised Alcuin at the time, because there was really no reason Bond should have seen potential in him, or rather not in the man he'd been pretending to be that day. But maybe he just... sensed something. He had clocked that Alcuin was part fae after all, and this was before Alcuin even knew himself.
Alcuin had kept Bond's number (or rather, just memorized it), but he wasn't quite confident enough in this course of action as to be so blatant.
So he spent a day at the cafe, making an educated guess about Bond's schedule. And he'd left his phone at home. He had, in fact, purchased a second one, as soon as he'd realized that Hannibal was tracking him.
He sat in a visible position and sipped another decaf latte while reading a book. A novel that he'd plucked out of Bond's thoughts at some point during their drive.
